  • Junior Introductory

Minimum Criteria (Purple):

  • Swimmers must be able to demonstrate Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke  over a minimum distance of 50 meters. 

  • Swimmers in this squad are required to attend 2-3 training sessions per week. 

  • All Swimmers must have a SWA Membership

  • Swimmers must be able to demonstrate Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke  over a minimum distance of 50 meters. 

  • Swimmers in this squad are required to attend 2-3 training sessions per week.

  • 7+

Preferred Sessions per Week:

  • 2-3 Sessions

Session Duration:

  • 60mins-90mins Purple Squad

  • 90mins-120mins Blue Squad

Minimum Criteria:

  • Swimmers who are aiming to compete at the State level and are training specifically for competitive purposes, should also have independent proficiency in using the pace clock during training. 

  • Swimmers in this squad are required to attend between 4 to 5 sessions per week. 

  • All Swimmers must have a SWA Membership 

Age Range:

  • 9+

  • 4-5 Sessions

Minimum Criteria:

  • Swimmers who have achieved State qualifying times or are working toward them, and who demonstrate the capacity to swim 4km-5km, are also expected to perform repetitive endurance training using a pace clock. 

  • Swimmers in this squad are required to attend between 4 to 5 training sessions per week. 

  • All Swimmers must have a SWA Membership

  • 10+

  • 4-5 Sessions

  • Swimmers who have achieved state qualifying times or are working toward them, are approaching finals or top positions at the state level, and can consistently perform repetitive endurance and strength training. 

  • Swimmers in this squad are required to attend between 5 to 7 training sessions per week. 

  • All Swimmers must have a SWA Membership

  • 12+

Preferred Sessions per Week:

  • 5-7 Sessions

  • 120 mins

Minimum Criteria:

  • Swimmers who have qualified for Nationals or are working toward them, and are actively preparing to compete at the Australian Championships. Additionally, swimmers should consistently achieve top positions at State competitions. 

  • This squad recommends that its swimmers attend a minimum 6-7 training sessions per week. 

  • All Swimmers must have a SWA Membership

  • 13+

  • 6-8 Sessions

Squad Level:

  • Fitness

Minimum Criteria:

  • Swimmers aged 13 years and older who can demonstrate proficiency in all strokes over a distance, and who wish to train for fitness and health. These swimmers do not compete in meets. 

  • Swimmers are invited to attend Club Nights throughout the seasons, Club Championships (Mar/Apr) and the Mandurah LC Challenge (Nov) 

  • All Swimmers must have a SWA Membership
