REGISTRATION FOR MEET

Should a swimmer wish to compete in a swim meet, a registration form needs to be completed, and a fee is required for each race entered.

The Registrar is the person responsible for sending in the club nominations so that the swimmers can be entered into the events.

Each meet has a closing date that is set by the host club. In turn our Registrar sets an internal closing date, to give ample time to correlate all the entries. This date is set at 3 weeks prior to the date of the event. All entries and monies are required by the internal closing date. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Information on the Swim Meets can be found in the alcove near the office in the clubrooms. Completed entry forms and money can be given to the Registrar or can be placed in a locked post box through the door of the office. A receipt will be issued for entry money received.

An example of a completed registration form is pinned onto the notice board. It is essential that the form contains all information required. The swimmer's registration number is found on the front cover of their "Swim Time " record book. The number is alphanumeric, and contains 3 letters from the surname, 2 letters from the first name and the date of birth. It is also essential that the swimmer record the correct entry time for each stroke and distance. These times are used to seed them in the appropriate heat at the meet. IF ANY DETAIL IS MISSING FROM THE REGISTRATION FORM, IT WILL BE RETURNED FOR COMPLETION, VIA THE PIGEONHOLE POST SYSTEM.
